MISS WORLD PH 2013

Hot favorite Megan Lynn Young, 23 and an actress, won the Miss World Philippines 2013 title tonight during a glittering, televised gala held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City on Sunday night. Runners-up for the highly coveted Miss World Philippines 2013 title were Janicel Lubina, Zahra Saldua, Bianca Paz, and Omarie Linn Osuna.

Born in Alexandria, VA, USA (not too far from the BS campus!), Megan, who had a role in the Filipino version of "Betty La Fea," will now represent the Philippines at Miss World 2013. Megan is the third Miss World Philippines tileholder since the new franchise was established at Julia Morley's absolute and utter insistence. Megan follows in the footsteps of Miss World 2011 first runner-up Gwendoline Ruais and Miss World 2012 top 15 finisher Queenierich Rehman.

She's very pretty! But sad that Julia makes Countries have separate pageants. Many can barely organize one national pageant let alone a few. Who cares if a Country crowns several winners in one night. At least she's getting a representative.
