MISS PANAMA 2012

The beautiful winner and the hunky host!

The is new royalty in the Central American nation of Panama. Last night, during a glittering gala at the Hotel Riu in Panama City, Stephanie Vander Werf won the Miss Universe Panama 2012 title. Miss World Panama 2012 is Maricely González; Miss International Panama 2012 is Karen Jordan; and Miss Earth Panama 2012 is Ana Lorena Ibañez.

PANTALOONS FEMINA MISS INDIA 2012

Daily News & Analysis, 31-Mar-2012: Chandigarh girl Vanya Mishra was on Friday night crowned as the Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2012 in a glittering grand finale of the 49th edition of the beauty pageant.

The Miss India Earth title went to 24-year-old Prachi Mishra of Pune, while Chennai girl Rochelle Maria Rao, 23, was crowned as the Miss India International.

The trio, selected from20 finalists, were crowned by last year's winners Kanistha Dhankhar, Hasleen Kaur and Ankita Shorey.

The event was hosted by Ayushman Khurana and Manish Paul.

While 19-year-old Vanya will represent India at the Miss World 2012 Pageant, Prachi and Rochelle shall represent the country at Miss Earth 2012 Pageant and Miss International 2012 Pageant, respectively.

Femina will not send the beauties to the Miss Universe pageant as it had decided in 2010 to abstain from the event.

Nargis Fakri and Sonam Kapoor added Bollywood glamour to the ceremony, which was judged by Sonam, producer Ekta Kapoor, film director Rohit Shetty, actor Sonali Bendre, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, designer Raghavendra Rathore, Managing Director of Bajaj FimServ Sanjiv Bajaj, singer Sonu Nigam and TV actor Sakshi Tanwar.

The evening began with singer-actor Ali Zafar giving his first dance performance with former Miss Indias Manasvi Mamgai and Neha Hinge.

The Pakistani singer enthralled the audience with his power packed 'Madhubala' performance.

The grand evening was also graced by Julia Morley, Chairperson of the Miss World Organisation and reigning Miss World Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colimenares.

Former Miss World Ivian Sarcos also attended the event in a stunning lehenga choli.

MISS AUSTRIA 2012

The new Miss Austria 2012 is Amina Dagi, 17. Competing as "Vize Miss Vorarlberg," she won the coveted title late tonight at the Casino Baden. Miss Austria 2012 first runner-up was "Miss Oberösterreich" Stefanie Steinmayr and Miss Austria 2012 second runner-up was "Miss Salzburg" Marisa Gerhardter. 

A SUNGA BRANCA

Mister Brazil 2010 Jonas Sulzbach may have placed third in Big Brother Brasil 12, but he placed numero uno in the hearts of Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni here at Beauty School. And they couldn't be happier that he is posing for famed photographer Fernando Torquatto of Quem magazine. And have you ever seen a man look this damn good in a white speedo?

MISS AND MISTER L’HORTA NORD 2012

The new Miss and Mister L'Horta Nord-Maisa de Lacy 2012 are Alicia Pérez Riera and José Pedro Mascarell Anaya. The won their titles on Saturday in this a preliminary to Miss and Mister Valencia. The runners-up for the Miss L'Horda Nord 2012 title were Mariola Segrelles Iranzo and Laura Arana Castallí. Runners-up for the Mister L'Horta Nord 2012 were Fran Llorens Monzonis and Alberto Cámara Sancho. The winners and runners-up all get tickets to Mister and Miss Valencia. HAVING A BALL

Attending this weekend's Rose Ball at the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club in Monaco were Miss World Sweden 1993 Victoria Silvstedt, Miss France 2002 Sylvie Tellier, and Miss Universe China 2011 Luo Zilin. The new Miss World Thailand 2012 is Vanessa Muangkod, 20, and will now be her country's delegate to this summer's Miss World 2012 contest, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. Runners-up for the Miss World Thailand 2012 contest were Boonyisa Chantrarachai and Chawanluck Unger Moksiri.

The new Garoto and Garota Piscina Premissa 2012 are Igor Murta and Lilian Guimarães. The won their titles earlier this month - on 10 March to be exact, in Pará de Minas, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The co-ed Garoto  and Garota Piscina contest is one of our favorites, for two obvious reasons - sungas and bikinis! MSS AND MISTER LA RIOJA 2012

The new Miss and Mister La Rioja 2012 were elected last night during a gala, televised event at the Logroño Municipal Auditorium. Miss La Rioja 2012 is Nazaret Castro, 22. Runners-up for the Miss La Rioja 2012 title were Teresa Calvo and Lorena Gil. Mister La Rioja 2012 is Juan Reinares, 22 and a snowboarding fan.  Mister La Rioja 2012 runners-up were Igor Buriak y José Alfonso Sánchez.

Dean Harris has is an aficionado of Spanish "guapos oficiales," like our snowboarder Juan.
