Who will be the new Miss France 2012? Who will succeed Laury Thilleman, one of Beauty School's faves among recent Miss France titleholders. We will find out who will be the new Miss France 2012 this weekend. This lady has Oscar buzz! Could it be that yet another Miss World contestant will win an Oscar? Michelle Yeoh, actor and Miss World Malaysia 1983, could follow in the heels of Halle Berry. Michelle stars in Luc Besson's new movie The Lady, about the Burmese political leader and Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi. The movie examines the inspiring life of Aung San Suu Kyi, who spent the better part of two decades under house arrest for her non-violent campaign for democracy.
The movie is currently making the festival rounds - and getting rave reviews. It should open in the USA within the next month, which will make it eligible for the Oscars. Check out the movie trailer at the Reelz website.

MISS AND MISTER LUXEMBOURG 2012

Luxembourg has new luster. The new Miss Luxembourg 2012 is Claudia Vitoria Müller, 19, and the new Mister Luxembourg 2012 is Scorssery-Philippe von Knobelsdorff, 30. Runners-up for the Miss Luxembourg 2012 title were Deborah Airoldi, 20, and Salomé Heindrichs, 18. According to the newspaper Le Quoditien, Scorssery-Philippe is best friends with Mister Luxembourg 2011, the gorgeous David Florentin, who is now a model in Milan. His successor and best friend Scorssery-Philippe is a kick-boxer and stands an incredible 1m97.

MISS AND MISTER VALENCIA 2012
The new Miss and Mister Valencia 2011-2012 are Cristina Martínez and David Roca. The won the coveted titles tonight. Miss Valencia runners-up were María Boronat and Carla Martínez. Mister Valencia runner-up was Sergio Esteve. Cristina and David are Valencia's representatives for Miss and Mister Spain 2012. The most adroit of Beauty School scholars will recognize David's name - see here!
MISS BARCELONA IS MISS SPAIN 2011
Miss Barcelona Andrea Huisgen is the new Miss Spain 2011. She won the title tonight during a glittering ceremony in Sevilla. Andrea is 20, blonde with green eyes, and stands 1m80. Miss Las Palmas Aranzazu Estévez was first runner-up. Aranzazu also won the Miss Elegancia title. Second runner-up was Miss Valencia Ana Crespo; third runner-up was Miss Alicante Ainhoa Garcia; fourth runner-up was Miss Gipuzkoa Lidia de Sousa; and fifth runner-up was Miss Málaga, Belinda Gutiérrez.
MISTER REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA II
Mister Coimbra Fábio Duarte won the Mister Republica Portuguesa 2011 title last night. He is scheduled to compete in the upcoming Mister International 2011 contest. First runner-up, or 1º Vice-Mister was Mister Branco Castelo Eduardo Costa. Second runner-up, or 2º Vice Mister, was Misster Santarém Pajó Reis, who also won the special title of Mister Desporto. Winners of other special titles were Mister Bragança Pedro Ribeiro (Mister Top Model); Mister Lisboa Pedro Serdoura (Mister Fotogenia); and Mister Faro Ivo Miguel Borges (Mister Simpatia).

REIGN IN SPAIN V
The new Miss and Mister Valencia 2011 will be elected tomorrow - at the same time as Miss Spain 2011! Let's hope Miss Spain 2011 is Miss Valencia 2010 Ana Crespo. Prof. Chandni finds it absolutely inexplicable that Mister Valencia 2010 Carlos Casaña did not sail all the way to the top six at Mister Spain 2011!
¡GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL DE DIEGO!
The glorious new Mister Spain 2011 is Diego Otero, or as they say in Castellano, el flamante Míster España 2011. He is just a few credits away from a degree in physical education and has played for several soccer teams. Currently, he plays defense on Madridejos. Here is what he told a Toledan magazine in advance of the Mister Spain 2011 contest: "Claro que tengo opciones de ser Míster España.. Creo que doy el perfil y reúno las condiciones adecuadas. Soy un chico seguro de sí mismo que sabe de sus posibilidades y de sus límites. Lo digo con absoluta humildad pero pienso que tengo una sonrisa bonita y un cuerpo compensado." Dean Harris agrees - Diego has a a beautiful smile and imposing physique!
MISTER SPAIN 2011
The new Mister Spain is Mister Toledo Diego Otero, 24, a mighty 1m90, and soccer player (futbolista sounds so much sexier in Spanish). He also won the title of Mister Elegancia. He shined all night - talk about rising to the occasion at the exact right time - and he blew (away) the competition with his response to the final question.
First runner-up was Mister Jaen Bartolomé Márquez, 26 and standing an even more mighty 1m92; second runner-up was Mister Las Palmas Néstor Acosta, 24 and 1m85; third runner-up was Mister Zaragoza Ismael Gomez, 20, and a mighty fine 1m91; fourth runner-up was Mister Sevilla Rafael Fernandez, 26 and 1m81; and fifth runner-up was Mister Barcelona Gerard Espinosa, 25 and also a mighty 1m90.
